Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay

Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay is a working Australian farm and also home of the famous Pilliga Pottery, located just 30km North of Coonabarabran, NSW.
We offer unique accommodations, handcrafted ceramics and pottery workshops.
Our café specialises in wood fired pizza, German sausages and homemade scones and Gelato.
You can help us feed the farm animals and relax at the pool. Experience our enchanting bush walks and guided bird watching tour.
Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay is 100% off grid with its own water supply and solar system. We are proud to run this business ECO friendly and self-sufficient.
As a pet friendly farm stay we look forward to welcome you and your furry friends.

The Pottery offers free hands on clay play as well as demos.

The farm also has a trampoline, volleyball court, playground for young children and ample room for ball sports.

Expect a unique experience when you stay at Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay, it is truly unforgettable.

To access the property, guests need to travel a 10km all weather access dirt road which can get bumpy in the dry season but adds to the farm experience.

There is no cell-phone reception on the majority of the farm. Intermittent reception can be found on some of the bushwalking tracks. Essential Wifi is available at the Cafe area. A landline telephone is available in the pottery for guests to use at any time, free of charge.

Check that your GPS directions stay on the Newell Hwy until reaching the Borambitty Rd turnoff (lat/long 31°05'32"S 149°23'01"E), then follow it for 10km (there are signs) to Barkala Farm and Pilliga Pottery.

You are most welcome to come and stay in our campgrounds at Pilliga Pottery and Farmstay.
We offer family friendly and dog friendly “Bush Camping” sites, un-powered only.
These sites are suitable for simple campers in motorhomes, caravans, tents and swags. You can cook for yourself or eat at the Blue Wren Cafe. And, of course, all the activities are open to you as well.
Please note that we do not provide access to electricity or water as we are fully off grid.
We ask that you pack your rubbish out with you as we don’t have council rubbish removal.
The closest shopping and dumping point is in Coonabarabran (30mins south)
Please check our pet friendly policy here. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and cleaned up after.
Amenities blocks are located near the Café area or in Kelly’s campground. We don’t offer any camp kitchen facilities.

Terms & Conditions

We would like to ask you to comply with the NSW Government Guidelines when you arrive at our facilities. We are paying special attention to our cleaning as per the recommendations from the CDC. Please use the disinfectant stations before you enter any of our buildings.
If you are showing any symptoms or have been in contact with any corona virus cases please stay at home, we are happy to reschedule your booking.
We run a 3 generation community and want to ensure the safety of our staff and residence. Thank you for your cooperation.

We charge the remaining balance of your accommodation on check out.

Pet Policy
We love animals of all description and respect that people like to travel with their pets. To that end, all our guesthouses are pet friendly.
Our policy is simple:
You must provide bedding for your pet. Pets must be house trained.
Pets must remain off furniture, carpet and rugs. We will charge up to $100 additional cleaning fee if necessary .
You are responsible for protecting our native wildlife and farm animals against the predatory nature of your pets.
You are responsible for any damage caused by your pets.
You are responsible for cleaning up after your pets. Make sure no droppings are left in behind on our lawns and gardens.
Dogs are not allowed inside the Cafe and the pool area.
To protect our native birds, cats must remain inside the guesthouses unless restrained by you. Dogs must be on a lead at all times unless contained in your guesthouse/yard.

*We are a working farm that is surrounded by bush land. Always remember that while you and your pet’s safety is our concern it is your responsibility

Payment Policy

We will process your payment on arrival.

Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay accepts these cards and reserves the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy, including COVID cancellations (updated January 2022)

Guesthouses:
A non-refundable (transferable) deposit of $60 is required at time of booking. Payments can be made via credit card.
Cancellations with less than seven (7) days from arrival will lose their deposit (unless the booking is rescheduled).
 
Cancellations between seven (7) days and 28 hours from arrival (i.e. 10 am the day before check-in) will be charged 50% of the booking. The full 50% charge can be transferred towards a future booking within 12 month of the cancellation (however, it is non-refundable).
If you need to reschedule more than once, a $50 admin fee will be charged each time.
 
Cancellations within 28 hours of arrival will be charged 100% of your booking (with no rescheduling option).

Campsites:
If you cancel at least 1 week before check-in day & time, you will receive a refund minus $20 (If your booking is less than $20 you will not receive a refund)
If you cancel within 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
 
As a small, family-run business, we have been heavily impacted by cancellations due to COVID. We have tried to make our T&C’s as flexible as possible while still ensuring our business can continue to provide a unique and wonderful farm stay experience for decades to come. We thank you for your understanding and agreeing to these conditions when you book with us.
