The Belmore Hotel was built by local Matthew Miller in 1866 and has been an iconic building in Scone ever since. With its filigree verandahs, stone quoins and iron columns, The Belmore is one of the town’s earliest surviving buildings. Originally named The Railway Inn, the hotel was renamed ‘The Belmore’ in 1871, in honour of the NSW Governor and fourth Earl of Belmore.

The history of the Belmore’s secrets are given away by its design…

The back entry of the courtyard was the original entry for the horse and carts that would arrive at the establishment. If you look over the balcony of the accommodation of the Belmore, it now overlooks the current courtyard, which was once an entrance for the “horse and cart” of its time.

Located in picturesque and sophisticated little town of Scone, the heart of thoroughbred country, the Belmore Hotel is the Upper Hunter’s favourite place to sit back and unwind.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Belmore Hotel strongly recommends you purchase Comprehensive Travel Insurance. We suggest that the policy include, but not be limited to, the following coverage – loss of payment through cancellation; loss or damage to personal baggage; loss of money and medical expenses.

The prices shown are per room per night for the numbers of persons and dates selected, unless otherwise indicated. Additional guests will be required to pay an extra per person per night rate of $50 (only possible in some rooms)

Children 0 -12 years occupying the same room/unit with at least one adult and using existing bedding are Free of Charge. Additional charges will apply if extra beds or linen (including rollaways, sofa beds or cots) are required.

All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an individual over the age of 18. The property has the right to refuse any booking when the legal parent/guardian over 18 cannot produce current photo ID.

Quotes and reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking. Any verbal quote given is an estimate only of the price, which will be subject to written advice on confirmation of the reservation.

Whilst we attempt to satisfy all special requests, we are unable to provide a guarantee.
At the time of booking, details of a valid Visa or MasterCard (including CCV code) are required to secure the booking and also to act as security for tab payments and to cover incidental items and damage above and beyond fair wear and tear. Cash is not an acceptable form of bond and a valid credit card will need to be presented on arrival.
All credit card payments will incur a 1.5% non refundable, credit card service fee. Selecting cheque or savings on the EFTPOS terminal will avoid this charge.
All full rates featured are subject to change without notice. Prices listed are in Australian Dollars if accessing via www.belmorehotel.com.au site and are inclusive of GST where applicable.

In the event of a situation whereby the Belmore Hotel cannot provide accommodation as previously confirmed, for whatever reason, we will undertake to relocate guests into an alternative room of equal or better grading at no expense to the guest. Should there not be a room of equal or better grading in the vicinity of the original booking, it may be required to provide guests with a room of a lesser grading. If this is the case, any reduction in costs will be refunded to the guest.

The alternatives offered are at the Belmore Hotel’s discretion. Should the guest wish to choose a room of a standard other than offered under this condition, then the guest will be required to pay any difference. Should the Belmore Hotel no room be available, will refund the rate of the room paid by the guest.

Whilst the utmost care is taken to ensure that the description of facilities and services of the Belmore Hotel is accurate, these are continually being changed, upgraded and on occasion taken out of service. If any feature/facility is essential for the guest in choosing a particular room, it is advisable that the guest checks with the Belmore Hotel at the time of booking that that facility is available. The Belmore Hotel Pty Ltd cannot be held liable for omissions or errors whether temporary or permanent of a room’s facilities and services.

All coupons, vouchers, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by those service providers. The Belmore Hotel Scone does not warrant and is in no way responsible for the accuracy of any information given in statement made by their service providers whatsoever.

The Belmore Hotel Scone is a renovated heritage building. While all care has been taken to ensure the building complies with modern building requirements, you accept that as a retro-fitted building, therefore, it is not possible to bring every element up to modern standards.

We especially recommend you take care climbing and descending staircases and recommend that you do not consume alcohol to excess in your accommodation suite, in case an emergency evacuation is required.

We have made attempts to soundproof our rooms, with rich carpet and aesthetics sympathetic to its environment. However, as an original heritage structure, not every sound can be eliminated.

The Belmore Hotel, Scone both for itself and on the behalf of its employees or agents does not accept any responsibility for any act, omission, default or neglect of themselves, their employees or agents for injury, damage, or loss to persons or goods whatsoever or however the same may be caused. While all reasonable care is taken, by utilising any services provided by The Belmore Hotel Scone, you agree that:
The Belmore Hotel Scone shall not be liable for the wilful or negligent acts and/or omissions of itself, its employees or agents, carriers and/or service providers.

The Belmore Hotel Scone will not be liable for any accident, injury, delay, property damage or personal loss to you or those travelling with you in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other travel services resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of God, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or schedule.

Please note that all travel documents, observance of laws and regulations of various Governments are your responsibility.

The Belmore Hotel Scone is a non-smoking establishment. Smoking in any part of the building is strictly prohibited including upstairs Balconies. Designated smoking areas can be found in our courtyard. Any fire alarm as a result of your failure to observe this rule, resulting in any call out by the Fire Brigade, shall be your responsibility, including any charges/fines associated with the call out.

Payment Policy

PAYMENT POLICY
Payment will be required at time of check-in and can be made with cash, Visa or MasterCard.

Credit Card details are taken at time of booking but no debit is made.
Card payments may be made without surcharge by selection of a Cheque or Savings account on the EFTPOS unit.

All Visa and MasterCard Credit payments will incur a 1.5% + .45c surcharge per transaction.
This charge is to simply recoup the merchant charges and fees we incur in or booking system & merchant fees.

Any International cards or Amex Diners will incur a charge of 2.95% + .45c surcharge per transaction.

At the time of writing this (January 2016) the average amount the The Belmore Hotel Scone is charged for Visa or MasterCard payments is 1.7%.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION & NO SHOW POLICY
Please understand that we are a small hotel with only 9 rooms. As such late cancellations can have a significant impact on our business.

To secure a confirmed booking, credit card details are required as security for the accommodation charges (including CCV). This secures the room for the period of your intended stay and guarantees your room upon arrival.

If you wish to stay beyond the period of your original booking we request that you advise us as soon as you are aware so that we may extend both the booking and your occupancy of your original room.

There will be no refunds provided for early departure or change of mind on length of stay once booking has been confirmed and paid for.
