Nestled beside the third fairway of the beautiful Freycinet golf course is the second of two modern, modular units, providing comfortable and affordable accommodation.
Offering two bedrooms, the main with a queen sized bed and the second with a set of bunks and a single bed, so you have a total sleeping arrangement for 5 people.
The owner has provided a small assortment of toys for the children, a book exchange (for adults) plus a selection of adult and children DVDs as well as having a CD/iPod player in the 32 inch flat screen TV and a hairdryer.
With just a 100m stroll to access Sandpiper Beach which is ideal for children and a 5 minute car drive to the world renowned Freycinet National Park and the start of the walk to the fabulous and famous Wine Glass Bay.
These units being side by side lend themselves well for the 2 families traveling together or a group of fishing, golfing or hiking friends.

The Bay - Swanwick Book

Located in a quiet street at Swanwick is this prestigious four bedroom home that has been designed for family living and entertainment. The two storey house accommodates up to eight people with ease. Upstairs is the kitchen, dining room and lounge with glass sliding doors that open onto an expansive partially covered deck which wraps around most of the house. Also upstairs is a separate toilet and main bedroom with a king sized bed and en suite. Downstairs is a second lounge/dining area plus three bedrooms with one bedroom having a king sized bed and en suite. Watch the waves breaking on the beach or on the rocks of Diamond Island from your balcony. You can walk to the beach, and over to Diamond Island on the right tides. Do some beach-combing or just enjoy the unspoiled environment that surrounds the beautiful village of Bicheno. At the right time of the year you may see the whales cruising past on their migratory journey.

The Hill House Standard Book

Built in 2016 by a local building designer, the Hill House is nestled under the Whalers Lookout Scenic Reserve. This passive solar house, with double glazed windows and on-demand gas hot water offers 180 degree views of the township of Bicheno, including the surrounding mountains and beaches. Light and warm, the Hill House features high quality furnishings, Bosch appliances and a sense of light and space.
The Hill House consists of a north facing open plan kitchen and dining area, large central dining table, gorgeous chaise lounge, flat screen TV and high speed WiFi, so you can stay in contact with your loved ones. In summer the house opens up and enjoys the sea breezes off the ocean, while in winter the passive solar design will keep you constantly warm and cosy.
The Hill House has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom consists of a Tasmanian made queen size bed, high quality doona (comforter) and a selection of comfortable pillows. The second bedroom, which offers views across the township of Bicheno, and can be made up for two singles beds, or one king bed, depending on your preference. Please let us know your preference before you arrive so we can accommodate your needs.
The bathroom at the Hill House offers a spectacular, deep, free standing oval shaped bath and large walk in shower. They are yours to rejuvenate in at the end of the day.
The location of the Hill House is perfectly convenient. You’ll find our favourite beach, Waubs Bay, with turquoise water and white sand, just a 4 minute walk from the house. An IGA supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, newsagent, surf shop and pizza shop are located just a 2 minute walk away. But our very favourite is Little Bay, where you’ll find incredible coffee and pastries made by a cordon bleu chef, just 2 minutes from the house. Arrive early before the best sells out. In the evening when you need a feed of the best Tasmanian Fish and Chips, you’ll find the Gulch and its
two fish and chip restaurants just a 5 minute walk from the house. Keep an eye out for the local fishermen unloading their catch as you enjoy your meal. Further afield, Coles Bay and the famous Freycinet National Park are only a 30 minute drive from the house.
The garden in the Hill House is large and backs onto the Whalers Lookout Scenic Reserve walking track. The lookout offers incredible views of Tasmania’s finest coast. It is not unusual to see sea eagles, dolphins and whales from this lookout; views of the resident seals at the nearby Gulch are almost guaranteed.
Bicheno is famous for its resident penguins. The Hill House supports sustainable viewing of these beautiful birds- at dusk we recommend you join the Bicheno Penguin Tours that leave from Bicheno Surf – just a two minute walk from the Hill House. These tours will give you unprecedented, up close and personal views of the penguins.
The Hill House will give you a true sense of that the magnificent East Coast is all about.

Terms & Conditions

Damage & Behavior

Although Bicheno Holiday Rentals does not require a security deposit, should any damage beyond fair wear and tear be caused to the property, or should it be necessary to conduct additional cleaning at the end of your stay, the cost will be charged to you. Guests will be notified on claims being made prior to any payments being debited.

Should any behavior during your stay become unacceptable to us, we reserve the right without prior notice to terminate your stay and to require you to leave the premises forthwith.

Guest’s numbers are limited to the amount of guests requested at the time of reservation. Use of non booked beds will be charged at $25 per night. No extra mattresses are too brought onto the property. If the property is reported to be overloaded, the booking will be terminated and guests will be asked to vacate with no refund made.

Our holiday premises are not pet friendly unless specified and camping or fires are not permitted within the property boundary

Smoking inside all properties is prohibited. Guests must discard cigarette butts into the rubbish bins. Cigarette butts discarded into the garden beds may incur an additional charge for cleaning.

Bicheno Holiday Rentals may inspect the property with reasonable notice and at any time without notice if there is any belief that there has been a breach of these conditions herein.
If the occupancy ends or the lease is terminated, guests must immediately vacate the property. Bicheno Holiday Rentals is authorized to do whatever is required to enforce the eviction of any guests and removal of guest’s property

. Faults/ Problems

All holiday properties under Bicheno Holiday rentals management are privately owned and are rented on a fully self contained basis. In the event of faults and/or malfunctions of appliances or inclusions, there is no obligation from the owner or Bicheno Holiday Rentals to compensate or discount.

Bicheno Holiday Rentals will accept no responsibility for any inconvenience with machinery breakdown. The agent’s best endeavor’s to repair, replace or hire an alternative will be undertaken.

Left items- if requested we will endeavor to recover and return items inadvertently left in a holiday property, but we take no responsibility for the recovery or return of these items. Postage and packaging and the cost of sending out a staff member to search for the item will need to be paid in advance, a minimum cost of $27.50 incl. GST applies this is at the guests expense. Low value items will be held for claiming, if returned to us, for a maximum of 2 weeks and if not claimed will be disposed of.

If keys and/or remotes are lost, a fee of $55 including GST will apply for lost keys, with an additional charge of $77 including GST per garage/alarm remotes (if applicable).

Should guests lock themselves out of a property a $55 including GST call out fee is applicable


Liability & Indemnity

Guests staying in our holiday premises do so at their own risk Bicheno Holiday Rentals or the Accommodation’s Owner incur no liability for any loss, damage to property, personal injury or illness, including by reason of negligence. You agree to indemnify and to keep indemnified Bicheno Holiday Rentals and its employees against liability to any person arising under or in right of you in respect of any loss or damage arising out of or in consequence of your participation in the use of the premises managed by Bicheno Holiday Rentals.

Fees and Charges

By agreeing to pay the accommodation deposit you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement, and authorize Bicheno Holiday Rentals to debit any and all fees and charges set out herein to the credit card details of which you provided at the time of making the accommodation deposit.

Payment Policy

Booking Terms & Conditions & Cancellation Policy

We will require details of your credit card at the time a booking is confirmed.

A deposit equal to 30% of the total cost of accommodation (the accommodation deposit) must be paid by you at the time a booking is made, with the balance payable in full in advance 30 days before your arrival.


Additional Guests to those already booked are charged at $25 per night for the
full duration of the booking, regardless of the number of nights stayed.

Cancellation Policy

Should you cancel the booking not less than 30 days before the commencement date of your reservation the full amount of the deposit will be charged. Your booking may be transferred to another date, subject to availability.

Should you cancel the booking 30 days or less from the commencement date of your reservation the total cost of your reservation will be payable in full.

No refund will be made if you cancel any part of your reservation during your stay.

Additional Guests to those already booked are charged at $25 per night for the
full duration of the booking, regardless of the number of nights stayed.
