Bussells Bushland Cottages is a 20 hectare (50 acre) "Land for Wildlife" property, located 5kms north-west of Margaret River township. Our 8 rammed-earth cottages are set apart in order to preserve privacy and are self-contained with full kitchen, dining and living facilities, an outdoor BBQ, wood-fired pot belly stove in the living room and ceiling fans in all bedrooms (except those with double bunks). Each cottage shares 1 bathroom.
Walk trails criss-cross the bush block which has wonderful stands of old-growth jarrah, marri, banksia and peppermint trees, as well as being home to a wide variety of bird life and mobs of kangaroos.
We provide a simple "starter" breakfast for the first morning, otherwise this is a self-catering property. It's a 5 minute drive to Margaret River's numerous cafes, restaurants and bars; and there are 3 supermarkets supplying everything you might need during your stay.
We're also within easy driving distance of all major features of the region and provide exclusive north and south itineraries (and a range of special offers) which will add value to your stay.
Wi-Fi is available free-of-charge. Although limited, it should be adequate for e-mails and streaming.

Our 2 Couples cottages have a queen-sized bed in each bedroom. Beds are made up and there are doonas and (spare) blankets to keep you warm on chilly winter nights. Each cottage has a modern (well appointed) bathroom which houses a toilet, shower stall and vanity (with soap, shampoo and conditioner provided).
There's an open plan living / dining room and fully-equipped kitchen (which comes with refrigerator, stove / oven, crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots & pans, toaster, kettle and microwave.
The dining suite will accommodate 6 persons and the living room has comfortable sofas, a coffee table, reading light, flat-screen TV and a wood-fired pot belly stove to keep you warm as toast.
Ceiling fans are provided in each of the bedrooms,with the living area also having reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans
The room rate for 1 or 2 persons is based on occupancy of 1 bedroom. Where guests require to use the 2nd bedroom, an extra bed charge will be levied, otherwise the 2nd bedroom will be locked.

Terms & Conditions

Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is no later than 10:00am.
We are extremely respectful of our cleaners and require that all items of cutlery, crockery, glassware and / or cookware should be properly washed, dried and placed away in cupboards. While we choose to not apply a cleaning fee, we have recently barred guests from future occupation due to the cottage and kitchen being left in an untidy state.
No extra persons are permitted to stay overnight, except with the prior approval of the manager and at a cost of $40.00 (per adult) and $25.00 (per child under 12) – per person per night.
Smoking is only permitted on verandahs and butts must be fully extinguished and placed in the sand boxes provided. No smoking is permitted during "Total Fire Bans."
IMPORTANT NOTE: Our sewage disposal is via treatment plant and the system blocks up if anything other than toilet paper is flushed down the toilet. No wipes, wet ones or sanitary pads should go into the toilet under any circumstance. JUST TOILET PAPER!

Payment Policy

For bookings via on-line travel agents: Conditions as stated by the OTA will apply.
For direct bookings: A non-refundable deposit equal to 1 night for bookings up to 7 nights (and a further 1 night for each subsequent 7 nights) will be taken at time of booking; and with the balance charged 14 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy

For bookings via on-line travel agents: Conditions as stated by the OTA will apply.
For direct bookings: A refund will only be considered if and when the accommodation can be re-let. Please be assured that we will do everything possible to satisfy guests, if cancellation proves necessary.
