Our Tamborine Mountain accommodation is set on four acres of beautiful rainforest and gardens with an abundance of wildlife. Guanaba natural spring flows alongside our property, and the Escarpment views offer a sense of relaxation and calm.

Featuring couples only chalet style Villas, Edge House accommodation with private views of the Escarpment (sleeping up to 6 adults), and an award-winning Day Spa.

Contact us direct to save on your accommodation booking, to arrange Day Spa appointments or to speak with us regarding our available options for events and wellness classes.

Please note our property has free parking for guests in a main carpark (parking is not available next to the Villas), and we have multiple sloped paths and stairs. For safety reasons, the Escarpment Retreat Accommodation & Day Spa is for abled bodied persons only, and is not suitable for children.

Important Notes:
- Check-in Time: From 2 PM
- Check-out Time: 10 AM.
- We will provide self check-in information via text message on the day of check-in.
- The romantic villas are designed for couples only.
- At present our Kitchen is closed due to storm damage however once repaired we are happy for you to preorder breakfast to be delivered to your room for your enjoyment.
- The maximum occupancy of the Edge House is 6 adults.
- SMOKING - We have a designated smoking area next to the car park. A fee of $100 will be imposed if smoking occurs within any other area of the property.
- Bath bombs with glitter, stars and other non-organic ingredients interfere with the biocycle water treatment system and function of the spa filters, the repair costs (approximately $150) will be passed on to the guest. The organic bath bombs that we provide are especially made and can be purchased for $5 at reception.
- To create a quiet, comfortable and relaxing environment for all our guests, wedding preparations are reserved for the Edge House and are not allowed in the Villas.
- Massage appointments need to be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- All ONE NIGHT bookings require 100% deposit, other bookings require 50%. This must be paid at time of booking, your reservation is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

In addition, we have a Day Spa and a cinema ….all of this wrapped up in 4 acres of botanic paradise with a small waterfall, mountain stream, fountains and cliff views at the rear that go on and on, as far as the sea.

Terms & Conditions

VILLA: The romantic Villas are designed for a maximum of two guests ONLY. There will be no daily servicing of the Villas however if you require additional towels kindly contact reception. To create a quiet, comfortable and relaxing environment for all our guests, Wedding preparations and visitors are reserved for the Edge House and are not permitted in the Villas.

BREAKFASTS: At present our Kitchen is closed due to storm damage. Please note once our kitchen is operational again, you may book breakfasts for an additional charge and we will delivery your meal to your Villa for your privacy and enjoyment.

EDGE HOUSE: A Security Bond of $100 is required for the Edge House, it is to be paid with the balance upon your arrival. This will be used to cover any excessive cleaning charges; or, recovery of payments for any additional services required. Guests staying at the Edge House for wedding preparations are charged an additional $100 non-refundable cleaning fee. Maximum 6 adults.

IMPORTANT: The fireplaces in the Villas and Edge House are only available for use in the cooler months.

CHECK-IN: Self check-in information will be provided via text message on the date of your reservation for you to arrive at your leisure.

ALL GUESTS: We reserve the right to charge for the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act towards the property. Should this damage come to light after your departure, we reserve the right to charge your credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

LINEN: Due to an increase in the misuse of linen provided, we would like to advise the following information:
White Toweling must NOT be used to remove make up of any kind, dirt, teeth whitening products or to clean any spillages or mess.
White Toweling should only be used for drying purposes, after the use of a shower or bathing facilities.
White Toweling that is used for any purpose that results in marks or stains, may result in additional laundry charges or replacement costs.
We provide a black towel and face wash for make up removal, and a brown towel under the bathroom sink for the purpose of anything which may cause marks or staining. Should you require further non white toweling for any other purpose we are happy to provide this to you at no extra charge.

SMOKING: The Escarpment Retreat has a designated smoking area next to our carpark. No smoking is permitted at any other location on the property. If there is evidence of smoking occurring in or around the Villas you will be charged an additional amount of $100.

COMPLAINTS/QUESTIONS: Should you be dissatisfied or have any questions regarding our terms and conditions, the accommodation or our services, we request you immediately raise your concerns with Management to provide us with an opportunity to provide information and/or rectify any concerns.

Payment Policy

DEPOSIT - All ONE NIGHT bookings require 100% deposit, other bookings require 50%. This must be paid at time of booking, your reservation is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. The BALANCE (and the $100 Security Bond Edge House bookings) is to be paid on arrival. 100% of your booking related charges and extras must be paid for in full prior to the commencement of your stay.

Cancellation Policy

VILLA:
14 -21 days notice - 50% of deposit
7-14 days notice -75% deposit
Less than 7 days notice or NO SHOW, will be charged 100% of total accommodation amount.

EDGE HOUSE:
14 -21 days notice - 50% of deposit
7-14 days notice -75% deposit
Less than 7 days notice or NO SHOW, will be charged 100% of total accommodation amount.

DAY SPA:
The Day Spa is open by appointment only. Payments are to be paid in full 48 hours prior to your appointment and cancellations within 48 hours of your appointment will incur 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations must be advised via calling The Escarpment on 0419 839 165. Please leave a voice message if we are unavailable.
