Forest Walks Lodge
Forest Walks Lodge is an award winning small hotel and guesthouse on the northern edge of the Tasmanian World Heritage wilderness. It is easily accessible from Launceston, Deloraine and Devonport. There is much to do and see from bush walks to fly fishing and bird watching. All meals are offered in house using local or organic ingredients. You can book a room and decide on meals later or book a package including all meals and a guided walk or a fly fishing guide. Breakfast is included in the tariff. If you need an early check in, please advise beforehand and we will do out best to meet your needs.

Spacious comfortable bedroom with queen bed and ensuite with bath and shower. This room is more private being at the end of the house, has comfortable armchairs and FREE WIFI INTERNET. Re-energise and enjoy sustainable living with a superb 3 course dinner in a pristine environment. A comprehensive breakfast with hot and cold dishes is included in the tariff. Please let us know if you would like dinner which is $70 per person by choosing dinner on the optional extras. We have a small selection of Tasmanian wines chosen to compliment our meals.

Two Bedroom Family Accommodation,
Two Bedroom Family Accommodation, Reservar
Two rooms suitable for families. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom. There are two combinations, two queen rooms, one with an extra single and one with a single and a trundle. Or one queen with single and one twin with two or three single beds. Sleeps a total of 6 people including children. Over the following months we will only be taking one family or friendship group at a time to provide our guests with maximum safety. You will not be sharing with anyone else. There is a lounge and dining room for your convenience but we will still retain our kitchen for catering purposes. We can cook your meals, you can use our barbeque or we can organise platters for you. Please feel free to discuss your preferred option with us.

Dinner Bed and Breakfast Reservar
Guests are treated to a 3 course gourmet meal of fresh local ingredients, our most spacious room with a queen bed, ensuite, comfortable armchairs and a patio with an outlook onto the mountains. Included as well is a scrumptious breakfast. Dinner may be a choice of slow roast venison, gravlax ocean trout, organic lamb, seasonal fruits, home made savoury tarts or fresh caught local fish. Wine chosen from the latest Tasmanian release, to match our food is an extra cost.

Spacious comfortable bedroom with queen bed, one single and a trundle, suitable for a family of one or two adults and one or two children. The room has an ensuite bathroom with both a bath and shower. This room is more private being at the end of the house. Easy access to the outside through double french doors. A comprehensive breakfast with hot and cold dishes is included in the tariff. Please let us know if you would like dinner which is $70 per adult and $35 per child (3-13years) by choosing dinner on the optional extras. Young children can be fed separately to adults if requested and we will adjust the price accordingly. We will help with infant bottles and refrigeration where we can.

3 Bedroom Group Option
3 Bedroom Group Option Reservar
A taste of luxury on the edge of the Wilderness. There are three bedrooms available for family and friendship groups wanting to stay together. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with an additional rest room. One bedroom is set up with an accessible bathroom and the house is all on one level so wheel chair friendly. As well there is a lovely lounge and dining area and plenty of outdoor space including a fly fishing stream. Breakfast is provided by your hosts in the dining area each morning and you can book lunch and dinner according to your preference. In 2022 you have only limited use of the kitchen as it is set up for catering by the hosts. By 2023 you can be fully self catering. In the meantime feel free to bring a picnic home or use our BBQ. Guided and self guided walks depart from the door. There are beds for 9 to 10 in a combination of children and adults.

Accessible Twin/King Room Reservar
This room can be configured with either a king or twin beds. It has a walk in shower and some hand rails suitable for anyone with mobility problems. It also has space for a shower chair. The room has an outlook onto the mountains. If you wish to book this room as part of a two bedroom package let us know in the comments box. It is also suitable for two or three children in separate beds or young singles travelling together.

Términos y condiciones
Guests are respectfully requested to cancel their booking if they have any COVID-19 symptoms before travelling. Stay at home if you are unwell. Cancellations due to COVID-19 will attract no penalty. If you arrive with symptoms we will request that you get tested at the first available opportunity. We can help you to isolate until your results come back.
A deposit is required to confirm the booking equivalent to the first night's room charge.
Políticas de cancelación
If you give 30 days or more notice of cancellation a fee of $20 will occur.
If you give between 30 and 6 days notice of cancellation, a fee of $30 per night of the booking will occur.
Cancellation of any nights with 6 days or less notice before or on arrival will forfeit an equivalent of the deposit amount. Cancellation of any days following arrival, will forfeit the rest of the value of the booking.
