Great Northern Hotel

The Great Northern Hotel Kempsey offers recently refurbished pub-style accommodation situated in West Kempsey’s CBD and in close proximity to the train station. There is plenty of street parking around the venue with free all-day parking situated at the rear of the venue. If you’re without transport, there is a bus stop directly opposite the venue which makes getting around town easier.

There are 7 rooms which are modern, comfortable and welcoming. Bathroom facilities are shared and guests are supplied with fresh towels and toiletries daily. Staying guests also have access to a communal kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities. Flat screen TVs and free WIFI is available in all rooms. Please note, all accommodation is on level one with stair access only.

The Great Northern’s bistro offers an extensive menu with traditional pub fare including affordable lunch and dinner daily specials. Our beer garden is the perfect area to unwind and catch the best of live sports on our big screen or if you are up for the latest on goss in the area our locals hang by the main bar at the entrance of the venue.

Terms & Conditions

Please read terms and conditions before booking. Upon booking, you are deemed to have agreed to the below terms and conditions.

* Check in time is from 2pm to 9pm. Guests checking in after 9pm must call the Hotel at least 24 hours prior to check in date to prearrange.
* Check out time is strictly by 10am. Failure to check out by 10am may result in another night’s stay being charged.
* Guests must provide a driver’s license/passport, mobile phone contact number and email address at the time of check-in. A valid credit card is required upon check-in to cover any incidentals or damage.
* Smoking is prohibited on all levels & in all rooms – a fee from $250 will be added to the room charge to cover lost revenue and additional cleaning. In the event whereby smoking in a guest room sets off a false fire alarm, a fee of $1,700 will apply.
* Room conditions: No excessive noise or traffic to and from the room. No exceeding number of Guests allowed per room. Drunken or Disorderly behaviour is prohibited. Linen & Towels will be counted and damages or theft may result in charges to your credit card.
* Cleaning charge: In the event that there is excessive cleaning required a minimum cleaning charge of $100 will be levied to the room charge.
* Child Policy: Children under 2 free of charge in existing bedding.
* Pet Policy: No pets allowed.

Payment Policy

Credit Cards:
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit card payments on arrival. American Express payments do incur a surcharge of 3%.

Direct Credit:
Is accepted provided payments are made at least 3 days prior to arrival and have appeared in our bank account. Please let management know before making a payment so we will expect it in our account. Please put your reservation number in the description when making the payment.

Cancellation Policy

* Best Available Rates: Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in. Booking cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the check in date and time will not incur any fees or charges and will be eligible for a full refund. Booking cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the check in date and time will incur a charge for the first night stay.

* Hot Deal: Non-refundable Rates. Require full pre-payment with no changes or refunds permitted.

* Special Events: Requires full pre-payment with no changes or refunds permitted. A minimum 2-night stay is required unless otherwise stated.
