Kurrara is a grand old guest house, built in 1902, an original Blue Mountains guesthouse, perfectly suited for romantic couples and bed & breakfast getaways.
Staying at Kurrara will transport you back to a time of old-fashioned values, as you enjoy the modern-day comforts that Kurrara offers. All of our 9 bedrooms have en suites, 3 downstairs Master suites with spa baths and four-poster beds, and 5 upstairs en suite timber-lined rooms with raked ceilings, the entire house is central-heated and decorated with antiques & textiles befitting its heritage.
Sip a glass of port and relax by the gas log fires (operating winter only) in our Guest Lounge or Library. Read a book, watch a DVD, or chat with old or new friends. Each morning we serve a continental breakfast (included in your room rate) between 8 - 9 .00am it can b enjoyed by our guests overlooking the gardens where they can take in the change of seasons. The gardens might be full of autumn colour, or awash with spring blooms. The mist could roll in a split second, or it might even be snowing! Afternoon tea offers an extensive selection of over 50 teas, freshly brewed coffee, with cakes and cookies.
Kurrara is the perfect venue for hosting retreats, small conferences or whole-house bookings. We can provide vegetarian catering if requested. Book a yoga class from our weekly timetable.
Off-street parking is available for small-medium-size cars. Both Coomonderry & Ada Streets have plenty of parking directly outside the guest house for larger vehicles.
Kurrara is a couple's venue and is not suited to young children.
Kurrara is located midway between the Three Sisters, Echo Point, and the Katoomba town center, all within walking distance and close to popular bush walks and scenic views,

Check-in is from 2.00 pm-7.00 pm Mon-Fri or 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm on Saturday & Sunday. You can pre-book an early luggage drop by contacting us directly. Check-out is strictly 10.00 am - late departures will incur a penalty if our housekeeper is unable to gain room access.

The Aster, Bluebell, Marguerite, and Lavender are smaller rooms with original timber-lined walls and raked ceilings. Photos are on our website. There's no place like home and Lurline Villas has all the hotel quality comforts to help you relax on your couples or family getaway. Conveniently located at 112A Lurline St, midway between the Three Sisters at Echo Point, and Katoomba Town Centre. It has easy access to local bus services only a few steps from the front door, and a stone's throw from Katoomba RSL, popular cafes and galleries. On-street parking is available either in Lurline St, or Oatley Ave.
A fully self-contained 2-bedroom house with modern/vintage furnishings and beautiful textiles and all the modern conveniences that are required to ensure a private and restful getaway
The villa sleeps 4 adults, or 2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant, but you'll need to bring your own cot.
Rates listed are for up to 2 people in one queen bed, with an additional charge per adult or child (we consider "children" to be aged between 2 and 12 years old)
If you are booking for 2 people but require both beds, please tick the 'second-bed' box to add the surcharge to your total.

Come to Kurrara Guest House (for check-in and key-collection), it's only a short walk around the block at 17 Coomonderry St. Katoomba.

Payment Policy

For reservations made within 7 days of arrival, full payment will be processed at the time of booking.

A 1.1% credit/ debit card surcharge applies,
we do not accept Amex or Diners.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is received in full or in part, with more than 7 days notice, a 30% administration fee is retained.

If cancellation is received in full or part with notice of 7 days or less, and the room is resold, a 30% administration fee is retained and the balance refunded.

If cancellation is received in full or in part with notice of 7 days or less and the room is not resold, the entire amount is forfeited.

In the case of a 'no show' or last minute cancellation (within 24 hrs) in full or in part, the entire amount is forfeited.
