Terms and Conditions.
Before you make your booking, you must agree to the terms and conditions.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions you acknowledge that you have a duty of care for the property and respect the privacy and amenity of other guests in the property.
Lakeside Suites is a non-smoking environment. Smoking is not permitted in or on the property.
Pets are not allowed at Lakeside Suites.
Parties and events are not permitted at the property.
We have adopted a ‘quiet hours’ policy for the enjoyment of both you, and other guests. Quiet hours are between the hours of 10.30pm and 8.30am. If you are enjoying a TV program or some music, please be mindful of other guests who may want to get a quiet night’s sleep.
Littering is not acceptable. Apart from the mess, the wildlife around the lake have been badly affected by people throwing cigarette ends, bottle top caps and other items onto the grounds around the property. If you accidently drop something from the balcony, please pick it up and deposit it in a rubbish bin.
Do not feed the wildlife. While it may seem like a good idea, attracting the wildlife to the property is not good for either the wildlife or the property. Geese have been found to have choked on foodstuffs and the Cockatoos have damaged the building and caused thousands of dollars of damage. Insurers do not cover us for this. Please if they are attracted to the property, do not feed them, just shoo them away.
Strong cooking odours will affect the guests that come after you. Garlic, onions, curry and seafood leave a strong and lingering smell which may be mouth-watering to you but may be offensive to other guests. If you plan to cook strong smelling items, please use the outdoor BBQ and close the doors so that the smells do not get into the soft building and impregnate the fabrics and furnishings.
Accidents do occur. If you break something, please report it immediately. Unless agreed with the owner, repairs will be charged to you and you hereby agree to pay for repairs or replacement.
Items found to be missing will be charged for at full replacement cost. You agree to pay for anything that is removed from your suite while it is in your care. Missing cutlery has been an ongoing problem as guests sometimes accidentally throw the cutlery out with their refuse. Please check carefully. If missing items are a part of a set and cannot be individually matched, you hereby agree to pay for replacing the set.
Parking is provided on site for all guests. We ask that you consider others when parking and leave adequate room for other guests to park and get in and out of the building.
For your security the entry keys are a high security type and cannot be re-cut. Please remember to replace the entry key into the key safe before you leave and lock it. If you don’t, the next guest will not be able to gain entry and we will have to change all the lock cylinders. Replacement keys and cylinders take a week to have cut and installed and cost $500 per door. If you lose your key or leave without returning the key, you hereby agree to pay us for the replacement cost.
Deliberate damage wlll be charged to you at the full replacement cost. You hereby agree to pay the replacement / repair cost in full.
These terms and conditions are all about respecting the property and other guests. It is rare that a guest ignores their duty of care and we have always been able to resolve any issue that has arisen. In all cases, a phone call to one of us can usually resolve any issue amicably and immediately. We ask that if any accident occurs, please call us and we will endeavour to resolve any issue.
While we make every attempt to ensure that your stay is quiet and relaxed, We take no responsibility for how other guests in the building behave. If someone is being unreasonably rowdy we suggest you ring the door bell and ask them to quieten down.
Occasionally something fails to work. In the event that you cannot operate the heating or cooling, please let us know immediately. There are back-up electric heaters in the suite in the event of a failure.
Powercor is the electricity network provider for Daylesford. Because of the rural nature of the area It is common for a blackout or brown out to occur in the township and there is nothing that can be done until the provider restores power. If you lose power, nothing connected to the power grid will work. Fortunately, we have installed a powerful solar array, which will keep the basics going throughout daylight hours. That said, most failures happen at night and there is nothing that can be done until the power is restored.
If you happen to notice that something is not working, such as a broken light globe or a remote battery that has reached the end of its life, please feel free to replace it and give us the receipt. We will reimburse you for the cost. For anything else that seems to be not working correctly, please let us know so that we can get onto it promptly. This will avoid other guests experiencing the same problem.
Internet is dependent on the NBN. We have no control over the reliability or speed of the service. We do have issues with the service dropping out and being unreliable in spite of making every effort to keep you connected. Remember, you can always use your mobile phone as a hot spot if the NBN isn’t performing as the supplier asserts.

All suites are prepaid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

The guest can cancel free of charge until 7 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel in the 7 days before arrival.
