Macs Hotel
The Macs Hotel has a rich history, first licensed in 1864 by John MacDonald; whose son is credited with naming the hotel. In 1871 the lease for the hotel was transferred to ‘Archie’ Mackenzie, who later purchased the hotel in 1881.
This renovated historic hotel with its central location (located only 1.7kms from the Blue Lake), provides guests with affordable accommodation and easy access to all that the Mount Gambier CBD has to offer
Macs Hotel features a number of areas including an eclectic bistro dining room, cider garden bar complete with deck area, accommodation, gaming room, parlour dining room and kids indoor play area. Live entertainment, DJ’s on Saturday’s from 9pm, great Australian pub fare and the latest in gaming.

Terms & Conditions
You (our guest) agree that should a credit/debit card be presented at check in, full payment of the room tariff for the duration of your stay will be paid. In addition, a $50.00 key bond will be processed by credit card pre-authorisation or cash upon check-in. If by credit card, excess funds will be released a minimum of 5 buisness days after the pre-authorisation transaction.
You agree that you will pay us (the operator) the agreed rate for each day of your stay as shown above. You agree to pay us for any loss, theft or damage to the room or equipment, fittings and appliances during your stay. You agree that any outstanding charges not paid for on check out will be charged to your credit card details provided and/or from your pre-authorisation.
You agree that any monies or other valuables, goods or vehicles that belong to you, brought in to or on to the Macs Hotel building, grounds or car park remain your responsibility. We do not accept liability for their safekeeping nor for lost property.
All our rooms are non-smoking and a minimum fee of $200.00 for smoking or drug use in our rooms, and any excessive cleaning or malicious damage applies, including flooding. Call out fee for the fire brigade is $850.00 and will be charged to you. Non-returned room keys will be charged at $50.00 each.
You accept all pre-payments for accommodation by credit or debit card. You agree that only the persons advised on the guest information sheet will remain in the room after 11:00PM, in accordance with Hotel policy. An additional fee of up to $50.00 may apply if unauthorized person/s remain in the rooms as aforementioned. The balcony will be closed from 11:00PM on all nights.
For all credit card transactions, a non-refundable handling fee of 1% (including GST) for MasterCard or Visa will be levied for the total value of the booking.

Payment Policy
Accommodation is charged to your valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. Guests are required to present ID (Drivers Licence or Passport) on arrival at check in. This ID must be the same name as the accommodation booking.
A $50.00 'Key Bond' is required at time of check in.
*For all credit card transactions a non-refundable handling fee of 1% (including GST) for MasterCard or Visa will be levied for the total value of your account.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation: 24 hours notice from arrival date of cancellation will allow a full refund less the credit card fee. Within 24 hours, the first night accommodation rate will be charged.
