Mansfield Traveller's Lodge Motel & Backpackers is in the beautiful high country of North East Victoria, just 180 km from Melbourne. We are at the gateway to the mountains, with all its adventure and activities right at our doorstep. A pristine, cosy, reasonably priced motel, right in the heart of town. Our main street location allows you to walk to a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and hotels, with ski hire and Mt Buller Bus Lines just across the road. We have Motel and Backpacker’s style accommodation.

Terms & Conditions

Your credit card payment will be processed approximately 7days prior to your visit. Should you wish to cancel your booking, you may do so 7 days prior to arrival for a full refund. Otherwise, 100% of the booking fee is withheld .

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance. The cost is based on the number of persons occupying room.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional charges.

Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay. Mansfield Traveller's Lodge take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.

Smoking in our rooms, damage to rooms or contents will incur additional charges to your credit card, Please note that there is strictly no cooking in the rooms. Please use the kitchen facilities provided.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise is prohibited, and may result in you being asked to leave.

Consumption of alcohol is permitted in common areas only.

Please note, Backpacker Accommodation does not include linen or towels. These can be hired at an additional cost as follows;
$5.00 - Towel , $10.00 - Linen (one pillow & one doona). Please advise us if you require these items.

Check-in - is strictly 2.00 pm, unless previously arranged with the owner. Please note that reception closes at 9.00 pm. If you are arriving after this time, please contact us in advance, so we can arrange an after hours check-in.

Check-out - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. It is expected that dishes are washed, spills on benches, cooktop, floor or furniture to be cleaned. Please ensure lights, heaters and air-conditioning are turned off before your departure. Check out time for the Backpackers is 9.30 am, and check-out time for the Motel is 10.00 am. Please ensure your room is vacated by this time to allow housekeeping to prepare for the next guest. If you are not vacated by this time, additional charges may be incurred. If you require a later check-out, please contact us.

Payment Policy

Your credit card payment will be processed approximately 7 days prior to your visit. However, credit card details are required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Should you wish to cancel your booking, you may do so 7 days prior to arrival for a full refund. Otherwise, 100% of the booking fee is withheld .
