Mungumby Lodge BnB is located in the stunning rainforest mountains just before and south of Cooktown, north of Rossville, Port Douglas or Cairns. We offer quality private accommodation for travellers seeking to stay in a BnB lodge with use of the homestead facilities, waterfalls, pool and a nature experience rather than just a cabin. Our property is located adjacent to World Heritage Rainforest and at the apex of three very distinct landscapes as well as cultures, we are accessible and open year round. Our cabins offer private ensuite bathrooms and are clean, rustic, and spacious. We offer a lounge area and pool at the homestead as an extension to your room. Each cabin is located separately within the enclosed gardens with a great outlook. We have the Aussie fire pit area and guest BBQ plus microwave for self-catering in the evenings. We are a B&B so offer breakfast 7 days where it is included in the rate or booked prior. Most guest’s advice is we live in paradise, we wake up to this and the bird song every day!

With no telephones in the cabins you can truly switch off! Urgent e-mail and message services are available at the office and the homestead phone line is portable and you are welcome to use it. We have free internet available from a terminal in the office. TV’s and mobile coverage are not available due to location and available transmission in and around the Cook Shire. Nature is our entertainer! People staying for business, we have device connectivity solutions available for you!

Terms & Conditions

Standard cabin retail rates are room only, and are stated as per night and per person incl GST. As an optional extra you can add a tasty Continental Buffet Breakfast including fresh tea or coffee with your booking. All rates are subject to Australian Pacific Lodges Pty Ltd terms of trade. Double and Superior rooms offer in room fridge and tea & coffee facilities. There is a guest fridge/freezer in homestead as well as a Aussie fire pit area and BBQ Pavilion facilities. Children: 6 – 12 years inclusive as per extra person rate for room.

Property is not suited for children under 6 y.o or people who need a device in their face all day. We are dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information we collect in relation to your stay is kept strictly secured. We do not pass on, sell or swap any of your personal details with anyone.

Payment Policy

All reservations require a valid credit card with expiry date and 3 digit CCV to secure booking. No charge is made at the time of booking, full payment is required at check-in. Bank credit card surcharges of 1.5% apply to purchases, this can be avoided by EFT or cash. For direct deposit payments please state this in comments section and email remittance when completed:-

Cancellation Policy

A valid credit card is required for security to confirm bookings but is not charged until checkin. There will be no cancellation charge as long as the booking is cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival. No shows and cancellation with 48 hours prior to arrival will result in a accommodation being charged as booked. GROUP cancellation policy varies to the above.
