Terms & Conditions

At Smoky Cape Lighthouse Cottages we look forward to welcoming you.
By making a booking you are entering into an agreement with us.
Please read our terms and conditions of booking below

ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKINGS
Bookings can be placed online up to 12 months in advance
At the end of each month the corresponding month of the following year will become available.
For example: Bookings for February 2022 will be available online as of the 1/3/2021

BOOKINGS & PAYMENT POLICY
50% deposit by credit card required upon booking via our websites secure payment portal
An invoice for final payment will be emailed to you & is due 14 days prior to your arrival
Where the booking is made within 14 days of arrival, the full amount will be processed upon booking confirmation.

CONDITIONS OF STAY
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately, without being liable for any refund or compensation:
- If guests engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests or inflict damage to our property or the National Park and its protected flora & fauna.
- If guest numbers exceed the max limit of booked accommodation.

THE BED & BREAKFAST - OCCUPANCY LIMITS & MINIMUM STAY
Rates are quoted per room, per night, including breakfast.
Maximum of 2 adult guests per room
2 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY ALL YEAR ROUND
*We are unable to accommodate minors in Cottage 3 B&B.

THE SELF CONTAINED COTTAGES 1 & 2 - OCCUPANCY LIMITS & MINIMUM STAY
Rates are quoted per Cottage ~ maximum of 8 guests
3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY - ALL SEASONS
4 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY IN SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

ACCEPTANCE OF CHILDREN
We are well suited to accommodate children in the Self Contained Cottages 1 & 2
*We are unable to accommodate minors in Cottage 3 the B&B.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
All cancellations will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of total booking cost
Bookings cancelled within 14 days of arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee of total booking costs
Bookings cancelled within 48hrs of check in will be void of a refund
Cancellation fees will be deducted prior to a refund payment to the card which was used to make the original booking

ARRIVAL * CHECK IN between 3 - 4PM

If you will be arriving after 4pm, please, contact John in advance
You will be guided to our on site parking and assisted with transportation of your luggage to your accommodation.
*GUEST VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE UP TO THE COTTAGES

DEPARTURE* CHECK OUT ~ 10.00 am
A staff member will be onsite to assist with checkout
A vehicle will be parked outside your accommodation to be loaded
GUEST VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE UP TO THE COTTAGES
Prior to departure, please ensure the following
~Furniture is to be put back to their original position.
~Used dishes are to be washed, dried and packed away.
~Please wipe down the kitchen & BBQ
- Please place bagged rubbish from the kitchen & bathroom in the outdoor bins.
Upon departure, a staff member will assist with the transportation of luggage to your vehicle.
We reserve the right to charge a $40 per hour excess cleaning fee if the cottage requires extra time to clean.

KEYS
We ask that guests take special care of door keys during their stay.
If keys are lost or not returned at the end of your stay, it will be necessary to change locks and replace keys and the cost of this will be chargeable.
Please return keys to the 'lock box' upon departure.

DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES
Please take care when staying in our property.
You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents.
All we ask is that you report any incidents before checkout.
We do not normally charge for minor breakages.
Credit card details used upon booking are stored until departure and may be charged repair costs if damage or breakage is significant.

PARTIES
We do not operate as a venue for Party Hire

PETS
We are unable to accommodate pets as we are situated within a National Park. Service dogs are permitted if certified accreditation documents are provided

WE ARE STRICTLY A FIRE FREE ZONE
Failure to comply will result in liability and cancellation of your accommodation without refund or compensation.
Please be considerate of your environment, its wildlife & other guests.
