Terms & Conditions

When making a booking by phone or through the website, you agree to, and are bound by the terms, conditions and requirements stated below:

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. YOU MUST PROVIDE FULL NAMES, MOBILE NUMBERS, EMAILS, and AGES of all guests in each room, for FIRE SAFETY REQUIEMENTS (Use boxes provided at the time of booking), or risk losing your booking.
2. CHECK-IN TIME IS STRICTLY AFTER 4:00PM (Use "Comment" box at the time of booking to provide us with additional information).
3. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN LINEN (see details below).
4. DO NOT EXCEED ROOM CAPACITY (Child over 3 yrs is considered an adult).

BOOKING CONDITIONS:

1. Weekend includes Friday and Saturday nights which must be booked together.
2. Saturday check in/out is NOT accepted.
3. 5-day Mid-Week rate includes Sunday to Thursday nights.
4. 7 continuous days will consist of the applicable 5-day mid-week rate plus the weekend 2-day rate.
5. Bookings must be paid in FULL at the time of booking, when bookings are made via the website. If payment is made via EFT TRANSFER, the booking is not secured or confirmed until payment IN FULL is received and paid by the due date. All pricing quoted is inclusive of GST.

6. Doonas & Pillows supplied; YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS, PILLOW SLIPS, QUEEN DOONA COVERS & SHEETS (or SLEEPING BAG), and TOILETRIES. Linen requirements vary depending on the room and will be detailed on your invoice. Guests will be charged for the laundry costs at $50 per person for any sheets and pillow slips used from lodge supplies.
7. Bathroom facilities are shared. There are bathrooms conveniently located on both floors of the lodge. Guests are not required to do any general lodge cleaning duties. However, guests are required to clean up after themselves and to keep their rooms tidy.
8. Food & drink is NOT allowed in the bedrooms.
9. ARRIVAL: Check-in time is STRICTLY 4.00 PM. If you arrive early, to avoid congestion with departing guests, please leave your gear in your car in the "Day Car Park Area", on the Great Alpine Road.
10. DEPARTURE: All rooms and kitchen storage must be CLEARED and VACATED BY 1.00 PM on the day of departure. Luggage may be stored in a designated area as directed by the Lodge Managers but must be removed from the lodge before 4.00pm. Toilet facilities may be used up to 4.00pm.
11. Rooms 1 to 5 contain two double bed bunks and 1 single bed bunk, providing for a maximum of 4 adults, and one child under 3. (Child over 3 years is considered an adult). Room 6 contains one double bed, and 5 single bed bunks providing for 7 adults and one child under 3. (A roll out mattress for an extra adult can be arranged; a maximum of 8 adults allowed in this room using roll out). Room 7 contains two double bed bunks, and 4 single bed bunks, providing for a maximum of 8 adults. Rooms 8 – 10 contain two double bed bunks providing for a maximum of 3 adults.
12. When the lodge is reaching full booking capacity, it may be necessary to switch rooms mid-stay to complete your requested length of booking (you will be notified prior to arrival).

Payment Policy

PAYMENTS:

1. Payments must be made using credit card at time of booking. If unable able to pay via this method, the booking officer
can be contacted at bookings@tanderrahotham.com.au.

Cancellation Policy

REFUND CONDITIONS:

1. Notice of cancellation or alterations must be given in writing (email above) to the Tanderra booking officer as early as possible before the accommodation date.
2. Cancellations more than 28 days’ notice: - Full amount refunded. Cancellations less than 28 days’ notice: - Full amount refunded less 10% handling fee. Cancellations less than 14 days’ notice: - Full amount refunded less 20% handling fee. Cancellations less than 7 days’ notice: - Full amount refunded less 50% handling fee. Cancellations less than 3 days’ notice: - NO REFUND.
3. CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
4. COVID-19 cancellations if less than 7 days’ notice:
A credit to the full value of the booking will be provided in the event that:
a. You, a family member or travelling companion within the same booking contracts COVID-19 and is unable to travel on the intended dates;
You will be required to provide the following documents:
b. Positive COVID-19 test result in the form of state government self-reporting COVID-19 certificate following a RAT, or medical certificate following a positive PCR test;
c. All COVID-19 cancellation requests along with relevant supporting documentation are to be submitted to the booking officer as soon as reasonably possible;
d. Any booking cancellations due to COVID-19 resulting in money being payable back to you will be issued in the form of a full value credit or 50% cash refund if less than 7 days’ notice. No cash refunds will be issued if less than 3 days’ notice.
5. All Guests should confirm Alpine Road conditions with the relevant Authorities (www.mthotham.com.au) before travelling to Mt Hotham. Vehicles and chains should be checked for suitability in Alpine conditions which can be potentially hazardous. It is a legal requirement that suitable chains for your vehicle MUST be carried by both 2 and 4 wheel drive vehicles.
6. Access Guarantee: Refunds on accommodation due to road closure can only be claimed if both Omeo and Harrietville access are closed (less a 10% handling fee).
