Our open-plan country house and off the grid eco cabin are set amidst our 3000 acre cattle farm, overlooking the picturesque hills and farmland of the New England. We are located 50km east of Armidale on the Waterfall Way, towards Dorrigo. The cold winters, mild summers and stunning autumn colour of the area make this a perfect holiday destination for all seasons. Whether you're after a romantic getaway for two or a fun-filled family escape, the stunning natural surrounds and wide open spaces will make you never want to leave. Our Farmstay house can accommodate up to 12 guests, with 3 queen size beds, 4 single bunk beds, and a queen size sofa bed provided on request. Our newest addition Platypus Eco Cabin is perfect for solo travellers or couples and is a secluded and private getaway with fabulous views.

Both the cabin and four-bedroom house are self-contained, so that you can enjoy privacy and seclusion, and we are able to provide breakfast and food for dinner on request. The Frizell family run the accommodation in conjunction with a large beef cattle farm, and we are happy to show you around during your stay. It is not unusual for our quiet cattle to be grazing only metres from the house yard, and our friendly Red Backed Rock Wallabies often come for an early morning visit.

We can recommend a number of things to do while you are here, and we also encourage fishing if you wish to explore our 4 km of trout river frontage. For a truly memorable getaway, please contact us today.

Terms & Conditions

All stays include a full breakfast provided on the first morning of the stay. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements so that we can provide you with suitable breakfast items.

All stays include access to our 4km of trout stream and unlimited access to the farm. More detailed information will be sent to your prior to your arrival.

Pets are not allowed.

Check-in is from 2pm onwards, so please check with Lucy if you wish to arrive earlier.

Check-out is at 10am.

Please notify Lucy 30 MINUTES before you arrive.

We provide the entire house and/or cabin for your use, supplied with all linen, towels, cooking utensils and crockery that you will need. We expect therefore that you will treat this home like you would your own, and preserve the clean state of the surrounding farm by not littering or disturbing the animals.

Payment Policy

Full payment either in advance or on arrival is much appreciated. Direct deposit is the preferred method, but cash or credit card can also be accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations occurring more than 14 days before the first date of the stay will be issued with a full refund. Cancellations occurring within 14 days of the first day of the stay will be issued a refund of 50% of the total price of the stay. Please contact the manager to discuss these
