There is an array of free activities offered on site, or you can venture into Freycinet National Park and enjoy any number of guided or self guided walks. Tours are also available externally. You can take a scenic flight, go kayaking, 4 wheel motor biking or take a cruise into iconic Wineglass Bay. Edge of the Bay Resort is the perfect place to getaway, whether you like to rest and rejuvenate, enjoy the magnificent views from the comfort of your room; or get out and be active in nature at its most spectacular.
Privately owned and operated, this family business has a rich history in the area dating back to the mid 1940′s. Development on the site began over 30 years ago with a strong emphasis on environmentally sustainable development. Among other things, you will notice the location of every suite, cottage and facility has been painstakingly thought out to maximise the view and functionality for you, the guest, while minimising the environmental impact and footprint on Freycinet’s remarkable landscape.
Centrally located on Tasmania’s East Coast, Edge of the Bay Resort is just one hour to the Maria Island Ferry, and less than an hour and a half to St Helen’s Bay of Fires. We are an ideal location for you to base yourself to experience all that Freycinet and Tasmania’s East Coast has to offer.
