Forest Walks Lodge
Forest Walks Lodge is an architect designed house on the northern edge of the Tasmanian World Heritage wilderness. It is easily accessible from Launceston, Deloraine and Devonport. There is much to do and see from bush walks to fly fishing and bird watching. We have been welcoming guests for 13 years. Previously we have offered all meals in house, however from 2023 guests can now book the whole house and self cater. We can still cater for meals if you wish or you can book a package including all meals and a guided walk. Breakfast ingredients are supplied and pantry items featuring essentials are available. If you need an early check in, please advise beforehand and we will do out best to meet your needs.

This is a fully catered experience. You will be treated to a 3 course gourmet dinner of fresh local ingredients, a spacious room with a queen bed, ensuite, comfortable armchairs and a patio with an outlook onto the mountains. Included as well is a scrumptious breakfast. Dinner may be a choice of venison, local hot smoked baby salmon risotto , organic lamb, seasonal fruits, home made savoury tarts or fresh caught local fish. Wine chosen from the latest Tasmanian release, to match our food is an extra cost. To complete your experience book a guided rainforest walk with our ecology expert.

Holiday house suitable for families or friendship groups. You have the use of 2 bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom. There are two combinations, two queen rooms, one with an extra single and one with a single and a trundle. Or one queen with single and one twin with two or three single beds. Sleeps a total of 6 people including children. Please feel free to discuss your preferred option with us. There is a lounge and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.

Spacious comfortable bedroom with queen bed, one single and a trundle, suitable for a family of one or two adults and one or two children. The room has an ensuite bathroom with both a bath and shower. This room is more private being at the end of the house. Easy access to the outside through double french doors. Breakfast ingredients are provided.. Please let us know if you would like dinner which is $70 per adult and $35 per child (3-13years) by choosing dinner on the optional extras. Young children can be fed separately to adults if requested and we will adjust the price accordingly. The kitchen is available for cooking if you prefer to cater for yourselves or you can choose a fully catered experience. You will have exclusive use of the lounge and dining areas.

Spacious bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. This room looks out onto the mountains. There is a private patio with table and chairs. A single bed can be added to the room for children or an extra adult and there is room for a cot. A comprehensive continental breakfast with hot and cold dishes is included in the tariff. Please let us know if you would like dinner which is $70 per person by choosing dinner on the optional extras.

This room can be configured with either a king or twin beds. It has a walk in shower and some hand rails suitable for anyone with mobility problems. It also has space for a shower chair and a wheelchair if required.

This is a 3 night package that incorporates all we have to offer the engaged traveler to Tasmania. It will be especially attractive to international travelers as it includes an intensive history of the Tasmanian environment landscape, food and culture. Accommodation is in a sustainable, comfortable solar designed guest house. Warm and inviting bedroom, attractive bathroom with deep bath and shower, local artwork on the walls and decorative features around the house. The package includes two gourmet dinners of fresh Tasmanian ingredients, cooked to perfection, a glass of Tasmanian wine with each course, breakfast each day, a guided interpretive walk in the rainforest followed by lunch. Your hosts, Sean and Rosemary will give you a warm welcome and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

A taste of luxury on the edge of the Wilderness. There are three bedrooms available for family and friendship groups wanting to stay together. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with an additional rest room. One bedroom is set up with an accessible bathroom and the house is all on one level so wheel chair friendly. As well there is a lovely lounge and dining area and plenty of outdoor space including a fly fishing stream. Breakfast provisions are provided for each morning and you can book dinners catered by your hosts or alternatively be completely self catering. There is a pantry of basic staples, spices and sauces. There are beds for 9 to 10 in a combination of children and adults, Two queens, a king and a number of singles.

Terms & Conditions
Guests are respectfully requested to cancel their booking if they have any COVID-19 symptoms before travelling. Stay at home if you are unwell. Cancellations due to COVID-19 will attract no penalty. If you arrive with symptoms we will request that you get tested at the first available opportunity. We can help you to isolate until your results come back.
A deposit is required to confirm the booking equivalent to the first night's room charge.
Cancellation Policy
If you give 30 days or more notice of cancellation a fee of $20 will occur.
If you give between 30 and 6 days notice of cancellation, a fee of $30 per night of the booking will occur.
Cancellation of any nights with 6 days or less notice before or on arrival will forfeit an equivalent of the deposit amount. Cancellation of any days following arrival, will forfeit the rest of the value of the booking.
